BPMN Training, Business Process Management Notation Training

BPMN Training, Business Process Management Notation Training (BPMN) training course is a 3-day hands-on program covering all aspects of modeling processes in BPMN 2.0. The participants will work with the modeling principals and look at a standardized bridge for the gap between the business process design and process implementation.

BPMN Training, Business Process Management Notation Training (BPMN) training  is based on OMG’s BPMN 2.0 standard for business process modeling including richer set of symbols, notations for Business Process Diagrams, decision flow chart method called the Decision Model and Notation standard, since BPMN doesn’t naturally lend itself to decision flows.

Participants will learn about the BPMN diagrams and how to document, analyze and automate their processes: BPMN is to standardize a business process model and notation in the face of many different modeling notations and viewpoints. In doing so, BPMN will provide a simple means of communicating process information to other business users, process implementers, customers, and suppliers.

Key Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participants are expected to:

  • Describe what BPMN is
  • Describe the role and purpose of BPMN
  • Describe key steps involved in creating effective BPMN process diagrams
  • List BPMN  elements and their role
  • Learn about BPMN business process diagrams including Flow objects: events, activities and gateways, Connecting objects: sequence flow, message flow, association, Swim lanes: pool or lane and Artifacts: data object, group, annotation
  • Learn about events and event types in BPMN
  • Describe object types for tasks and subprocesses
  • Describe gateways and process flows with various gateways (XOR, AND, OR)
  • Learn how to extend diagrams with additional information using artifacts and data objects

Training Method and Materials

Participants will be provided with:

  • Comprehensive specifications writing guidelines and notes
  • A workbook with workshop exercises
  • TONEX BPMN 2.0 checklists, notation and diagrams
  • Documents and reference resources
  • Post access to the trainer via WebEx, phone, and emails for up to 6 months
