NFC Training: Near Field Communication (NFC) Training

NFC training, Near field communication (NFC) is based on existing radio-frequency identification (RFID) standards including ISO/IEC 14443. NFC Training cover communications protocols and data exchange formats. Learn similarities between NFC, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE).

Near Field Communication (NFC) technology creates capabilities for consumers with simple transactions, exchange digital content, and connect electronic devices. The NFC connection is made through magnetic coupling, creating the electronic field between the devices themselves.

NFC was developed to address the contactless standards dilemma. NFC is a technology standard that harmonizes and extends existing contactless standards. By integrating NFC, devices can support and interoperate with existing contactless card applications and infrastructures such as access control, payment, and transport.

NFC technology uses a  short-range, low power wireless link evolved from radio-frequency identification (RFID) tech that can transfer small amounts of data between two devices held a few centimeters from each other.

Unlike Bluetooth, no pairing code is needed, and because it’s very low power, no battery in the device being read.

Passive NFC ‘tags’ on posters, in shops and on trains could contain a web address, a discount voucher, a map or a bus timetable that passers-by could touch their phones on to receive – or to instantly pay for absolutely anything.

NFC training introduces NFC capabilities, applications, best practices, infrastructures and platforms to market to the smartphone and consumer electronics. Learn about  concepts and the terminology used in NFC technology including  NFC major hardware, software and network components needed for any NFC system. Learn how NFC components and how they work together to deliver an integrated NFC based product and solution. Learn about  NFC operating passive and active communications modes.

Learn how to build secured NFC-based mobile apps, games, utilities and programs. You will learn how to build an actual NFC application and campaign using tags, readers and a simple NFC content management systems. You will learn how to work with tags including: initializing the tags, creating smart posters, and managing content.

Who Should Attend

Engineers and non-engineering professionals from consumer electronics (CE) and mobile device manufacturers, semiconductor companies  network operators, developers, service companies, and financial institutions.
