Advanced Communications Intelligence (COMINT) Analysis Training by Tonex

| FORMAT Instructor-led / customized |
LEVEL Intermediate to Advanced |
DELIVERY On-site or live virtual |
This specialized course addresses the technical and operational analysis of communications intelligence. Participants examine communications signal characterization, traffic analysis, network relationships, user and node behavior, protocol indicators, metadata, and reporting. The course emphasizes how multiple observations can be fused to understand communications systems, activity patterns, organizational relationships, and changes in operational behavior.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the COMINT lifecycle from collection through analysis and reporting.
- Characterize communications emitters, links, channels, and network behavior.
- Apply traffic-analysis methods to identify patterns, relationships, and anomalies.
- Use metadata and technical characteristics to support network and user analysis.
- Correlate communications observations across time, frequency, and location.
- Produce COMINT assessments that clearly separate observed facts, analytic judgments, and uncertainty.
Target Audience
COMINT and SIGINT analysts, communications analysts, network intelligence professionals, EW personnel, ISR analysts, collection managers, RF engineers, and technical intelligence specialists.
