Applied Verification and Validation (V&V) to Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Ground Support Equipment and Systems

Applied Verification and Validation (V&V) to Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and other ground support equipment and systems, is a 2-day training course providing support to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M), ground support equipment and engineers,  systems engineers, testers  and managers  by participating in the following systems engineering processes: Detailed Verification Objectives (DVOs), Detailed Validation Objectives (DVaOs), writing compliance statements, processing and completing Verification Compliance Notices (VCN’s), processing and completing Change Requests (CR’s).

Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and other ground support equipment and systems engineers and PMs are expected to understand where verification and validation fit into the O&M and ground system/subsystem life cycle and how to accomplish them to develop effective and suitable solutions and systems.

Applied to Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and other ground support equipment and systems provides all aspects of the system engineering discipline employing a rigorous methodology for evaluating and assessing the correctness and quality of O&M and ground support systems throughout the system life cycle.

Learn the best practices used to assess and validate Operations and Maintenance (O&M), ground support equipment/subsystem solutions including  tasks, techniques, tools, procedures and processes for defining and classifying DVOs, DVaOs, VCNs, CRs, and performing ground system solution verification and  validation.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the attendees will:

  • Describe verification and validation and to discuss the distinction between them
  • Understand the need for V&V for ground systems/subsystems
  • Describe the testing and inspection process and its role in V & V
  • Explain Life Cycle V&V Tasks
  • Understand the difference between Detailed Verification Objectives (DVOs) and Detailed Validation Objectives (DVaOs)
  • Understand the different methods (e.g. test, demo, analysis, inspection) to accomplish V&V
  • Understand the different phases (e.g. planning, preparation, conduct, closure, and reporting) of V&V
  • Understand the deliverables/activities performed in each of the V&V phases
  • How Operations and Maintenance Requirements link to DVOs and DVaOs
  • Identify approaches to traceability, requirements packages, and the phases of ground system verification and validation.

Who Should Attend

Verification and Validation Training course is intended for systems engineers, product managers,  and product developers, program managers, project and product managers, and other discipline engineers. The attendees will learn the techniques and best practices used to verify and validate system solutions.
