Cloud Computing Fundamentals (AWS, Azure, GCP) Training

Cloud Computing Fundamentals is a 2-day course where participants learn the fundamentals of cloud computing and its significance in modern IT infrastructure.

Cloud-Computing

Cloud computing has risen in popularity over the past few years and has become a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources.

The main principles of cloud computing in networking are on-demand self-service, broad network access, resource pooling, rapid elasticity, and measured service.

Resource pooling is a key principle in cloud computing. The provider’s computing resources are pooled to serve multiple consumers using a multi-tenant model, with different physical and virtual resources dynamically assigned and reassigned according to consumer demand.

This means that resources are shared among multiple users and dynamically reallocated per demand. Users generally have no control or knowledge over the exact location of the provided resources but may be able to specify location at a higher level of abstraction.

Rapid elasticity is another important principle.

Capabilities can be elastically provisioned and released, in some cases automatically, to scale rapidly outward and inward commensurate with demand. This means that services can be scaled up or down quickly and easily to meet demand, providing flexibility and scalability for users.

Another important aspect of cloud computing is on-demand self-service. With cloud computing, you can provision computing services, like server time and network storage, automatically. You won’t need to interact with the service provider.

Cloud customers can access their cloud accounts through a web self-service portal to view their cloud services, monitor their usage, and provision and de-provision services.

Similar to most outsourcing scenarios, moving data to the cloud results in lower costs. In fact, in one study upward of 50% of users reported cost savings solely as a result of using cloud-based applications in their organization, while EY has shown that switching to a cloud provider decreases total cost of data ownership by 30-40% over 10 years.

Maintenance of servers is a substantial project that creates a lot of overhead. Paying for storage space, even if the organization does not use physical files, can be expensive. Moving all data to the cloud eliminates this issue.
