Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course and exercises, participants will be able to:

Participants must attend at least 21 hours and attain a minimum average grade of 80% on the final exam.

  • Components and Layout of Electrical Drawings

  • Purpose and interpretation of single-line diagrams
  • Identifying major electrical components and their symbols
  • Understanding the flow of electricity in power systems

Exercises:

  • Practice identifying key components in sample single-line diagrams
  • Interpreting electrical power distribution through single-line drawings

Day 2: Elementary Diagrams and Wiring Diagrams

  • Introduction to Elementary Diagrams
  • Application in industrial and utility systems
  • Difference between elementary diagrams and other electrical prints
  • Wiring Diagrams
  • Purpose and structure of wiring diagrams in electrical systems
  • Identifying wiring connections between components and control devices
  • Reading and interpreting wire labels, numbers, and color codes
