Logistics Product Data (LPD) Training

Logistics Product Data (LPD) Training is a 2-day training program that covers the key concepts of LPD. Logistics Product Data Course is designed for logisticians and supportability professionals to learn the key concepts, principles related to Product Support Analysis (PSA).

Logistics Product Data (LPD) is a subset of data resulting from the Product Support Analysis (PSA) process tailored to a specific format to enhance usability by engineering and product support activities. LPD is defined by industry standard GEIA STD-0007CLogistics Product Data. LPD standard was issued by the Government Electronics and Information Technology Association (GEIA) but is now published by SAE International (formerly Society of Automotive/Aerospace Engineers): SAE GEIA STD-0007C was adopted on 16 April 2014 for use by the DoD. Both MIL-HDBK-502AProduct Support Analysis, and SAE TA STD-0017Product Support Analysis, suggest the all-data elements shall conform to the requirements of SAE GEIA STD-0007C.

SAE GEIA STD-0007C defines the LPD data generated during the requirements definition and design of an industry or government system, end item, or product. It makes use of the XML through the use of entities and attributes that comprise LPD and their definitions. The standard is designed to provide users with a standard set of data tags for all or portions of LPD.
