MILSATCOM Cybersecurity Bootcamp Training by Tonex

Certified Nuclear Energy Cybersecurity Professional (CNE-CP) Certification Course by Tonex

Duration: 2 Days | Audience: SATCOM Cyber Professionals, ISSOs, Network Defenders, Space Program Security Teams

A technical deep-dive into defending MILSATCOM ground and space assets from cyber threats. Aligns with RMF, CNSSI 1253, NIST 800-53, and classified SATCOM mission profiles.

This intensive bootcamp focuses on securing MILSATCOM systems across space, ground, and user segments. Participants will learn to identify threats, apply cybersecurity controls, and implement secure design, configuration, and monitoring practices. The course is aligned with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD cyber policies, and covers satellite encryption, telemetry protection, cyber hygiene in ground segments, and integration with broader cyber defense operations.

 Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand threat vectors in SATCOM systems (e.g., spoofing, C2 hijack, jamming).
  • Apply RMF steps and security controls to MILSATCOM assets.
  • Implement COMSEC and TRANSEC protections for secure uplink/downlink.
  • Integrate SATCOM cybersecurity into SATOPS and cyber situational awareness.
  • Configure telemetry, satellite control systems, and data links securely.
  • Perform incident response and forensics related to SATCOM infrastructure.
