Principles of Quantum Physics in 6G

The quantum physics field of quantum communication has been getting a lot of attention recently, and is now being considered in terms of 6G technology development.

Many experts in this area believe quantum physics will contribute to enhancing data security and reliability in 6G technology. In fact, studies have demonstrated the feasibility of quantum key distribution (QKD) and associated protocols.

Another advantage of quantum communications is that it can be adapted to wide area communications. However, even though quantum cryptography for quantum communication has advanced significantly over the past few years, long-distance quantum communication is still difficult due to the attenuation of fibers and operational errors.

This area of 6G technology operating in the quantum physics realm might enable a range of new applications, including:
