Radar Technology Certificate

Radar Technology Certificate is a 2-week radar system and technology technical training. Participants will master the ins and outs of radar technology and systems.

This certificate is designed for engineers, analysts, managers scientists, technicians, operators, procurement and technical professional both in commercial and military organizations. The unique 2-week program has been designed to transfer expertise on radar system technologies applied to a range of radar systems.

The participants will learn the key concepts and principles of modern radar applications. The certificate includes hands-on sessions on how to plan, design, use and operate different radar systems. Radar Signal Processing & Techniques are also covered to including basic methods and algorithms.

  • In this course a wide range of electromagnetics, radiofrequency and microwave topics with emphasis on physical aspects including EM and voltage waves, transmission lines, passive circuits, antennas, radio wave propagation.
  • Design rules and working examples illustrate the theoretical parts.
  • The examples are close to real world problems, so the participants can directly transfer the methods within the context of their own work.
  • At the end of each chapter a list of problems is given to deepen the reader’s understanding of the material and practice the new competences.

  • Day 6 courses examine advanced topics and practical aspects of phased array radar systems.
  • Advanced topics and discussions of radar signal spectral analysis, statistical detection theory, waveform analysis, and information extraction from processed signals:
    •  a) Array Radar includes practical aspects of phased radar systems applications, design, and operations
    • b) Phased array radar signal spectral analysis.
    • c) Statistical Detection Theory.
    • d) Waveform Analysis.

Day 7:

  • It provides advanced early warning radar system concept and principle of operations of most existing radar systems and maintains a good balance of mathematical rigor to convince readers without losing interest.
  • It provides an extensive exposition of the techniques currently being used for military radar system design, analysis, and evaluation.
  • It presents a comprehensive set of early warning radar principles, including all features of modern applications, with their underlying derivations using simple mathematics.
